About Darby

Real estate is familiar ground for Darby Murphy-Beard. Following in her grandfather’s and mother’s footsteps, she is a third-generation real estate professional with five years of firsthand experience working alongside the team at #1 Properties.
 
Born in Laramie and raised in Cheyenne, Darby’s connection to Wyoming is lifelong. A graduate of Cheyenne Central High School and Laramie County Community College, Darby has remained closely tied to the communities that shaped her. Her professional background includes more than a decade as a professional equestrian and coach, specializing in eventing and show jumping with Thoroughbreds and Warmbloods. She owns and operates DTM Equestrian, LLC, balancing training, instruction, and business management. 
 
Alongside her husband, Jace Beard, Darby raises cattle and trains Quarter Horses and Paint horses, reinforcing a hands-on understanding of land, responsibility, and long-term investment. She is also actively involved in leadership roles with several nonprofit organizations, including the United States Pony Clubs and The Event at Archer.
 
Together, these experiences inform Darby’s approach to real estate: grounded in preparation, commitment, and a deep understanding of the place she calls home.
